Kathy Griffin & The Pages, “Busted in Bora Bora”

Sam and I will (possibly) be on Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List, this Thursday, July 24, on Bravo. The episode is called “Busted in Bora Bora.” I say (possibly) because we don’t know how the show was edited and if we’re in or out until the party on Thursday evening, where we’ll see it simulcast with the Eastern Standard Time broadcast (three hours earlier than the rest of L.A.)

As you will recall, we went to Bora Bora in the Spring, so Sam could interview Kathy for Passport Magazine. We couldn’t show you all of the pictures, for a couple of reasons. Continue reading ‘Kathy Griffin & The Pages, “Busted in Bora Bora”’

Mad, mad, mad props to Francine Balderama and Jennifer Dussan for the stunning photos. And Pierce, do you ever take a bad picture? These and many other answers will be given in our upcoming articles in Passport Magazine, who along with VIP Escapes and Standout Vacations, sponsored this Escape with the Stars.

Photos from Bora Bora 1

Here are the first of the photos from Bora Bora. Thanks India! Our digital camera broke the day we arrived, so we don’t have many of our own shots. We’re relying on the kindness of our Bora Bora Buds. Special thanks to India, Sue, and Joy so far. More to follow. As you can see it was a great time. How great?  Find out exactly how great in our upcoming articles in Passport Magazine, who along with VIP Escapes and Standout Vacations, sponsored this Escape with the Stars. From Bora Bora to Reality

bronsamsplash.jpgThe last 36 hours on Bora Bora may have been the best, as far as we were concerned. Free of obligations to Kathy, the schedule, and the group – no matter how lovely they all were – we got to just be together and relax. Tuesday was the biggest little day of the trip. With nearly all of our group gone, the place was a lot quieter and a bit more boring, but we loved it.

Sam and I had breakfast and went snorkeling with our favorite girls, Sue and Joy, before we broke off for a snuggle and a nap in the room, and a late afternoon soak in the pool until almost 6pm, just in time for us to make our 6:30 water taxi to Vaitape (vay-TAH-pay). By the time we were departing, they had found the missing Canadian hiker, the Garfunkels had left the motu, and the resort hadn’t run out of food or electricity. Bliss.

A Fuel Strike, a Missing Hiker, and Agitated Lesbians in Bora Bora

We’re still having a blast, but there is a fuel providers’ strike. There is a fuel tanker moored off the coast, that cannot move because it would be breaking the strike line. AND, a Canadian in our group left his wife and kids Saturday morning to go hiking up into the sacred mountain, where he wasn’t meant to go, and has been missing ever since. Swimming with Sharks

Sam and I had a great day with Kathy Griffin yesterday, with much more to tell there. Suffice it to say that it ended with a very revealing game of truth or dare… and possibly all to be seen on Bravo.

We’re headed out to swim with sharks and rays now, so if I don’t post tomorrow, please lend Sam and Mom all of your love and support. XO, Bronson

More about our trip to come in our upcoming articles in Passport Magazine, who along with VIP Escapes and Standout Vacations, sponsored this Escape with the Stars.

Bronson & Sam in Bora Bora

I don’t want to be jacked-in for long, but I wanted to tell you that this is the best place on earth. Of course, it isn’t Summer, but we could really get used to an over-water bungalow and wading in shin-deep ocean water while having morning coffee. Wow, thanks Passport Magazine.

We have made some great friends, Sue, a writer for reality TV, and her partner of 9 years Joy, a personal trainer; David and Michael, the camera man and his partner; and one of the most remarkable women I’ve met in some time – India Brooks, whom I met for the first time in Gainesville, Florida, circa 1987. There’s a passel of people from Pasadena, and some very scared straight couples.
