1. If you could have sex with anyone from all of history, just once, whom would it be?

Jesus. The hush money alone would last an eternity.

2. What is your most memorable romantic moment?

Romance is a way of travel, not a destination. My relationship is rich in connection, rich in adventure, and built on trust and respect. It’s difficult to pinpoint an exact moment that idealizes this love since most often it’s found in our day-to-day routine: the meals we share together, the conversation, and companionship. That being said, finally getting that $12,000 diamond ring would be a very romantic moment!

3. About what are you most passionate?

My partner, our home, the children we want, the family we love, the friends we enjoy, and of course, my weekend obsession with nurturing Queercents.

4. What have you learned about love?

Crazy, dysfunctional love isn’t worth it. Been there, done that. Love isn’t forever. Been there, done that. Love is wonderful until it’s not and then it’s all about assets and who gets what. Been there, done that.

Love should be rational, equitable and include an exit clause. Or at a minimum, make a healthier choice about the person you love. I’m there, doing this now. Love is a beautiful thing!

5. What’s in your night stand?

With the toys tucked away in my grandmother’s hope chest at the foot of our bed, the night stand is reserved for more intellectual pursuits. The contents on top are more revealing: A bottle of Crystal Geyser (to hydrate throughout the night), eye cream (because I turned forty last year), the last six issues of the New Yorker (really, who can keep up?), an alarm clock (because I make myself wake up at the crack of dawn) and the latest personal finance book I intend to review.
